Frequently Asked Questions

How do I go about booking a photo session?

If you would like to book a photo session, please complete the contact form providing as much relevant information as possible, such as the type of photo session you are interested in and any particular preferences you may have regarding day(s) of the week, morning/afternoon, or any specific date required. Once I have received your message, I will get back to you as soon as possible to arrange a convenient date and time. In order to confirm your photo session, I will request payment of the booking fee via bank transfer.

How do I go about buying a gift voucher?

If you would like to buy a gift voucher, please complete the contact form specifying the type of photo session you are interested in (which will determine the value of the gift voucher). Once I have received your message, I will get back to you as soon as possible in order to request payment via bank transfer and to arrange for the gift voucher to be sent out.

How do I go about redeeming a gift voucher?

If you would like to use a gift voucher to book a photo session, please complete the contact form providing as much relevant information as possible, including any preferences you may have regarding day(s) of the week, morning/afternoon, or any specific date required. You will also see a checkbox which indicates that you have a gift voucher to redeem, as well as a box in which to enter your unique gift voucher code. Once I have received your message, I will get back to you as soon as possible to arrange a convenient date and time.

How many images will I get and how will I receive these?

Every photo shoot is different, so I don't tend to specify a particular number of images. My priority is producing images that truly capture the relationships between you and your loved ones. However - on average - I would expect to return around 10 photographs for a mini outdoor family photo session and around 20 photographs for a bespoke outdoor family photo session or parties and occasions photo shoot.

You will receive your photographs as high resolution digital images, which will be available to access via a private, password protected online viewing platform. I will request payment of the remainder of the session fee via bank transfer before providing the relevant link. Where possible, I will always aim to return your photographs within two to three weeks of the date of your photo session.

Will my images be in colour or black and white?

All photographs are edited at my discretion. Some of your images will be in colour, others will be in black and white.

PLEASE NOTE: ANY RE-EDITING REQUESTS WILL INCUR AN ADDITIONAL FEE.

What areas do you cover?

I primarily cover areas within Cheshire East (Rainow, Bollington, Macclesfield, Prestbury, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Handforth, Chelford, Mobberley, Knutsford, Holmes Chapel and Congleton).

If you wish to select a location a little further afield, this is usually fine, but may be subject to additional travel costs depending on distance.

What happens if it is raining on the day of our outdoor family photo session?

Unfortunately, the good old British weather does make this a possibility! If bad weather means that we are unable to continue with your outdoor photo session as planned, it will be no problem to rearrange for another convenient date and time.

If there are particular circumstances which mean you are unable to commit to an alternative date for an outdoor family photo session, it may be appropriate to consider a different location or an indoor setting instead. Interactive play, story time, creative/craft activities and baking often provide lovely opportunities for family photographs within the familiarity of your own home.

What happens if a member of my family is unwell on the day of our photo session?

I would suggest that it is always better to cancel a session due to illness rather than risk spreading germs or bringing along a less-than-happy family member! I completely understand that these things happen, so it will be no problem to rearrange your photo session; I just ask that you provide at least two hours notice of any cancellation, wherever possible.

Do you have any qualifications in relation to photography?

Yes, I have a Diploma in Professional Photography.

Are you insured and DBS checked?

Yes, I am fully insured (Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance) and have a current and clear DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate.
